Collaborative Communities in E-Learning
Instructor Comments:

Regarding a comment I had made in a weekly reflection

"We see such strengths in your work in the class that we regularly forget that you don't have online
teaching experience.  I would suggest this strength stems from your empathy for others, your writing
ability, and your critical thinking skills; all of which are components of a great online instructor."

Regarding my discussion prompts and questions

"Your exceptionally strong statements are: "Let's dig a little deeper; and, Now that you've got my
attention, tell me more."

R
egarding my e-Portfolio

"Kay and I are updating our Collaborative Communities course site and we would like to use your
ePortfolio as an example for the portfolios project.  We are now requiring all students to build their
portfolio on the web and so we would like current examples that reflect the learning in the eCertficate
program. "

The Big Project

The big project in this class was the creation of an e-Portfolio that included an instructor introduction,
action plan, strengths and improvements, tip sheet, welcome letter and syllabus, and discussion board
prompts and responses.
