FUSION - Architects of Education
Desire2Learn Users Conference

FUSION is the annual Desire2Learn Users' Conference. Once a year, every July,
Desire2Learn invites clients from around the world to attend a three day Users'
Conference. The conference is attended by system administrators, instructors,
technical support and help desk staff and institutional administrative staff from K-12,
Higher Education, Corporate, Government institutions. Conference sessions are
presented by Desire2Learn staff and by Desire2Learn clients. There are a variety of
session tracks aimed at specific audience needs. For example the Teaching and
Learning offers sessions that would likely offer the greatest appeal to instructors.
Many sessions are hands-on to enable the participants to actively participate in their
learning. A two day post conference program offers training designed for varying
levels of Desire2Learn technology experience. The Executive program is a key
opportunity for decision-makers, visionaries and strategists to participate in an
exclusive program. This one day program is designed to provoke thought and
conversation about future directions and key opportunities in the years ahead.

Wisconsin Educational Media Association Convention

This conference is for school district technical staff to network with their
counterparts from all over the state.  This year's convention included pre-conference
hands on workshops, two large group roundtable sessions, a vendor fair, and
breakout sessions with 70% district led and 30% vendor led discussions.

This year's convention was combined with the annual Wisconsin Educational Media
Association (WEMA) convention.

The Midwest Educational Technology Association (META) hosts this K-12
Information Technology Conference.   The purpose of this conference is for K-12
school district Directors of Information and Technology to network with their
counterparts. The conference focuses on technology with an emphasis on the
technical realm rather than curricular areas in education.

Provides an opportunity to network with others in the information technology field.  
This convention also discussed  emerging technologies and trends in the industry.
